Laser Marking Machine Operating Procedure
I. Startup Procedure
1. Connect to the external power supply.
2. Turn on the computer and launch the marking software. Draw any shape or input text within the marking area. Click the “General Marking” button (the red sun icon). In the “General Marking” dialog box, click the “Mark” button to ensure the marking count displays at least 1.
3. Activate the main power supply: Insert the system key into the keyhole at the upper right corner of the main control cabinet. Turn the key switch clockwise (90° rotation) to power on. Press the start switch. You will hear the electromagnetic relay contacts engaging inside the machine and the chiller pump rotating. The chiller display will show the current temperature. At this point, only the Scan Driver Alarm light among the various alarm and indicator lights on the main control cabinet should be illuminated.
4. Start the laser power supply: First, turn on the circuit breaker on the front panel of the laser power supply. Adjust the current control knob until the digital display shows the minimum current value. Press the start button once; the operational indicator light will illuminate. After a few seconds, the krypton lamp will be triggered and ignited, and the digital display will show the current actual current value.
5. Turn on the power switch on the Q-driver cabinet to activate the acousto-optic Q-switch. The Q-driver cabinet power-on indicator light will illuminate.
6. Set the galvanometer driver power switch on the main control cabinet to the ON position to activate the galvanometer. The Scan Driver Alarm light on the main control cabinet will turn off.
7. Import the desired marking pattern from HAN'S LASER marking software. Adjust the krypton lamp current to the required value, set the focal length and marking parameters, then proceed with marking production.
[Note] To protect the laser, wait 3 minutes after the chiller starts before activating the laser power supply.
II. Shutdown Procedure
1. Turn the current value counterclockwise to the minimum setting (typically around 6.3A).
2. Set the galvanometer driver power switch on the main control box panel to the OFF position.
3. Turn off the Q-switch driver power switch.
4. Press the stop button on the laser power supply box to shut down the laser power.
5. Return the computer to its initial operating system (i.e., close all open programs to prevent software malfunctions upon restart; save necessary files promptly), shut down the computer, and turn off the computer power supply.
6. Wait 3 minutes before turning off the key switch and circuit breaker.
7. Disconnect the external power supply.
【Note】
1. To protect the laser, wait 3 minutes before turning off the key switch, chiller, and circuit breaker.
2. During processing, press the EMERGENCY button on the left side of the main control box to immediately cut power to the entire machine in case of an emergency.
